Shipping policy
Free tracked delivery, United States and United Kingdom
Tracked delivery is free on every order to any address in the United States or the United Kingdom. There is no minimum and no threshold to reach. We do not currently ship anywhere else.
Dispatch
Orders placed before 2pm Mountain Time on a working day (9pm in the UK) leave the same day. Orders placed after that, or at a weekend or bank holiday, leave the next working day. You receive a tracking link by email as soon as the label is created.
Delivery times
Typically 3–7 working days from dispatch, to both countries. Orders to the United Kingdom ship from outside the UK, which is why that window is no shorter than the US one. These are estimates, not guarantees: carrier delays, customs inspections and severe weather can add time, and winter is when carriers are busiest.
Tax, VAT and import charges
United States. Prices are shown in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where we are required to collect it, and shown to you before you pay.
United Kingdom. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT at 20%. VAT is charged at checkout, so there is nothing further to pay when your parcel arrives — no customs handling fee, no bill on the doorstep. Our UK VAT registration number is [PRE-LAUNCH: UK VAT registration number required here].
If a carrier ever asks you for an import charge on an order from us, do not pay it — email us and we will deal with it and reimburse anything you have already paid.
Wrong address
Tell us within two hours of ordering and we can usually correct it. After dispatch we cannot redirect a parcel, and a package returned to us as undeliverable is refunded minus the outbound delivery cost.
Lost or damaged parcels
If tracking has not moved for 10 working days, or the item arrives damaged, email support@thewarmchapter.com with your order number and we will replace it or refund you. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods are our responsibility until they are in your hands.
