Terms of service
These terms govern your use of this store and any order you place. By ordering you accept them. The store is operated by Knock Knock Digital LLC, trading as The Warm Chapter, and sells to customers in the United Kingdom.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we send you a dispatch confirmation. We may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, if the price was listed in error, or if we cannot verify payment or the delivery address — and if we do, you are refunded in full.
Prices
Prices are shown in US dollars in the United States and in pounds sterling in the United Kingdom. UK prices include VAT at 20%; US prices exclude sales tax, which is added at checkout where we must collect it. Delivery is free in both countries. We can change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.
Comparison pricing
Where a crossed-out price appears on a bundle, it is the genuine total of buying those same items separately at their current list price on this store. We do not show a crossed-out price on a single item that has never been sold at that price.
Product information
Runtimes, temperatures and battery capacities are manufacturer figures measured under test conditions. Real-world runtime depends on the heat setting you use, the outside temperature, the age of the battery and how you wear the product. We describe our products as accurately as we can and we publish the limitations along with the benefits.
Safe use of heated garments
These are heated clothing items, not medical devices, and we make no medical or therapeutic claims. Please:
- Do not use them while sleeping.
- Do not use them on skin that is broken, or on an area where you have reduced sensation.
- Speak to a doctor first if you have diabetes, a circulatory condition, neuropathy, or any condition that reduces feeling in your hands or feet, and if you are pregnant.
- Stop using the product if it feels uncomfortably hot, and do not use a battery that is damaged, swollen or will not charge.
- Keep them away from children who cannot report discomfort.
- Use only the batteries and charger supplied.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs and design of this store belong to us and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 if you are in the UK, or your state's consumer protection law if you are in the US.
Governing law
If you live in the United States, these terms are governed by the law of the State of New Mexico and the courts of New Mexico have jurisdiction, without displacing any right your own state gives you as a consumer.
If you live in the United Kingdom, these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory UK consumer law.
